Passenger side mirror hit by van, new mirror or whole unit?
Came out to the Disco 3 this morning to find my passenger side mirror knocked out the unit and cracked and the unit pushed in, obviously someone has hit it and not stopped.
Could not have come at a worse time so will I need a whole new unit (well a 2nd hand one) or just the mirror part?
Expensive to replace/fit 2nd hand or can I do it?
Thanks all.

If the Mirror structure is ok, it's cheaper to change the glass only....IMHO

You should be able to push that on back on until you get the new glass. Maybe put some oil or grease on it to help. Plenty instructions on here as to how to do it. But mine needed a lot of force to get it on, your cracked one might not hold up to the forces required. Wear leather gloves (gardening)

If it is the whole unit that is damaged and you are stuck, I have a passenger side folding mirror that I was (eventually) going to put up for sale for £40 plus postage. It just needs swapping the plugs on the the crimped power leads - 5 minute job. then it is just a case of undoing a few bolts, unplugging old one and reverse to complete.
