Random wire
Had a few electrical gremlin issues recently. Park brake fault and the car is unable to communicate with the rear diff and shows a 'clutch position not learnt'. I had a look under the back today and noticed a wire (fitted with a plug) floating loose.
Any ideas. It's central and just behind the diff. Pic not great but any help greatly appreciated.

It's the random electrical wire behind the spare wheel winch.

Thanks DSL. I managed to work that bit out.
Could the wire in question be park brake or rear diff related?
Wouldn't it be handy if the socket was a means of triggering the alarm when a scrote tries to steal the spare?.

Very true - would love to know it's use though. Had my park brake replaced last Nov and only noticed fault, along with clutch issue in early March. Could've been there for ages?

Had a good root about today and established it doesn't seem to have a home. The other plug attached to the same bit of wiring is plugged into the electric park brake. I couldn't see anything anywhere it went into but if someone knows it's home please tell me. Had read it was something to do with a spare wheel alarm?
