Side Steps

Hello All,

I am about to buy my first Discovery 3 05 plate and it doesn't have side steps on. Does anyone know where I can get some and or someone who can fit them?

Britpart, LandRover, etc;

However, what do you want them for?

Steps are prone to being bent up if you go in a rut and blocking the door. Sliders would be better, more robust and can be used as steps too.

Prospeed have inserts for theirs that make it a very strong step (pricey though) or Shire Fabrications.

I've got the shire fabrications ones....

Sliders look great. I have to admit I didn't even know they existed!! The main reason is to help my mum get in her knees are not what they used to be and she isn't the tallest person. How difficult are they to fit? Or do you know of anyone that is able to fit them?

They are easy to fit.

Here's some notes on fitting them:
http://disco4.com/forum/topic158410.html

if you can use a socket set and have a jack easy enough - takes an hour and a half (don't be precious with the yellow trim clips, just snap them out with a hole punch or small screw driver and hammer)

Following on from Mr.Tom I've just ordered shirefabrications. You can find them on their eBay page, but not on their website.
If you call them you'll get them cheaper.
Very quick delivery. Ordered today and delivery should be Thursday.
