Swapped D4 for another D4 - want to change a few things

Hi, apologies in advance for the long post, I'm just after a bit of advice or a few ideas please.
I'm selling my 2010 HSE after 130,000 fantastic miles. Really can't fault the car and I've actually felt a bit emotional about parting with her.
I want to change a few things when I refit all the gear from the old one.

The split charging VSR has never filled me with confidence so should I go for a traxide set up or are there better/cheaper alternatives?

I've currently got a pair of HID Lightforce 170s on the front but fancy something a bit smaller without losing the power/range - what LEDs will do this? Am I looking at Laser or something else?

I've had a prospeed ladder on, that will go with the car, think that's what I'm sticking with again, not had any issues with it.

Need a towbar and electrics, is there anyone on here who will come and fit split charge and towbar electrics and spots? Would be handy to just get it all done in one hit.

I've got park heating but no remote, how do I enable this?>

Thanks and sorry again! Thumbs Up

Why is the VSR being canned? Alternator voltage running too low when crank batt full to trigger the VSR?

Cheaper alternative would be a standard (but quality) relay solenoid, just with an ignition live 12v for the sensing side of the relay from somewhere in the engine bay. That's my plan anyway. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Remote heating dibber is easy. Mine was kit from Bodsy, sort out the CCF via IID, fitted kit in rear right pannier area and pair the remote. Siiiiiiiiiimples. Thumbs Up

Not being canned as such, just not always sure its doing its job.....might just be me being daft.

The current split charge kit is staying on the car so just wondering if there was a better set up. Thumbs Up

Oops, meant solenoid above not relay. Albright ones were recommended by a couple of very knowledgable peeps on here, replaced the cheap ones that didn't last. Thumbs Up

PS Can't remember what solenoid model it is but can have a look at it once I get back souff. As in top right of pic below. Heavy cable solenoid to crank battery +ve, other side of solenoid to aux battery +ve, aux battery -ve to earthing stud, ign only +ve feed to sensing part of solenoid and associated -ve wire to earthing stud. Outputs to "stuff" straight off the solenoid aux batt side +ve terminal via fuses. It was how TFC fitted it to Dark Bluie and I salvaged the lot, hoping it will go straight in the D4. Thumbs Up

For the split charge, instead of VSR you could try this battery to battery charger from Ring. I have one of their multi-stage mains battery chargers - good kit. I'm thinking of using this http://www.ringautomotive.com/uk/products/...ro/RSCDC30 for charging a second battery in my D4 Thumbs Up

I had a pair of Vision X light canon 50w single LED E marked driving lights on my 110. Amazing light and pattern! Look good in black and the coating was in great condition after 2 years living outside on the front of my defender (no garage).

Snow build up was the only negative if driving while it was falling, but that was 5-8 days only out of 730. A fancy coating may deal with it. Or I just got out and sprayed it when it needed it.

Sorry, been a bit slow. So many car bits kissing around I'm getting a bit dizzy!! Shocked

This is the beast. It's done almost 4 years and never missed a beat. It's going to get fitted to the D4 this w/end. Thumbs Up

Rolling with laughter so that's what you're coming down for.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sorry I've been away.

I'll have a look at the above, those Vision X lamps look good! ££££

Hopefully Bodsy is going to come and sort it all for me
