Battery question
Tonight I finished work went out to the car pushed the button almost sounded like it was been fried.
Loads of errors then eventually battery light came on flat as. Jumped it with the van and got me home.
No warming signs nothing
On Saturday I spent the day off road with landrover would it be that all the terrain programs were been used brakes, abs etc would drain the battery?

Muzzy2007,
Not sure how old your vehicle is but perhaps the battery has come to the end of it useful life. The use of the off road special programs shouldn't have a bearing on the battery going flat (at least I never had that issue). If you have a ctek or similar maybe you could give the battery a long and thorough charge or if you have a multimeter to hand you could check the voltage of the battery prior to this. There are loads of threads similar to this one

Ok thanks it's 2010. The battery was a yuasa think that's how its spelt.Had it checked at halfrauds and it gave a very low power reading and they suggested to try and charge it up first but as my charger went pop I couldn't take the chance so just replaced the battery. The eye in the battery was black and should be green.
Like you say maybe just end of life.

The special programs don't use any extra electrical power, they simply send messages to the various modules to change the way they behave off road.
As mentioned, the battery was probably the issue as it wasn't holding charge. If you'd been driving all day off road, you'd have been charging it all the time.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Or if you need an alternator site sponsor advancedfactors.
It could be that the drive belt has been slipping due to getting continually wet when off roading and battery just needs charging It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
