Fitting Advice for Tow Trust TL1HKF removeable tow bar
Today I finally fitted my tow bar that has been sitting in the garage for the last few months, but I am unsure if it is fitted securely to the car.
The first part of the install is to located a piece into the receiver and remove a pin which lets a spring loaded bolt pin out to secure the piece. I had great difficulty is pushing this part into the receiver, at first the bolt pin was only just located in the hole, but after lots of swearing, and hitting it with a hammer, I manged to get it further in as shown in the pictures

Is this safe?
Does the pin need to be sticking out of the hole?
The towbar is all fitted now, but I will gladly dismantle it if it needs to be fine tuned (ie hit with a hammer more!)
