locking fuel flap
Hi all.
Just thought id ask in case there is a simple reason why my locking fuel flap does not lock with the central locking.
Are they even suppose to ??????
Just with the price of fuel, thought there was a risk of it being stolen, the fuel that is
Thanks

Mine does not - I have a 2008 LR3 V8 HSE with all the options, so I think it might depend on the market?

I know some cars delay locking the filler cap for 5 minutes to allow re-fuelling to take place; perhaps this has been added for 2008 model? Or more likely, yours is duff Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

Hands up everyone who thinks WD40 is really a lubricant? Dr. Ian Malcolm:

The filler cap cap is unlocked if you press the lock button twice within a few seconds - the doors are locked, the motion sensors are off and the filler cap is open. If you only press the lock button once then evrything should lock.
Took me a while to figure this out as my previous car required a double press to put the dead locks on and I kept semi-unlocking the D3 when I left it Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

If its not lubricating - what the frack does is do then ?
Its a very fine penetrating oil... that by its very nature lubricates.
