2nd Row Centre Seatbelt

We had a 400 mile trip yesterday which resulted in the Mrs sitting in the middle to calm our 11month old boy.

This has happened before but her belt would tighten and not slacken when pulled gently as you would normally expect with a seatbelt, resulting in her needing to unclip the belt and reset it every so often to stay comfortable?

Anyone else come across this?
