| help needed with rear door latch |

morning I have a failing n/s rear door lock on my d3 it locks/unlocks but needs a bit of help either with the handle (pulling several times) or the remote (again plipping several times) so it looks like its on the way out
now the problem I have is that I've removed the door panel as a precaution whilst I can still get the door open but I cant figure out how I will get the door open if the lock fails whilst shut before I can replace the unit any advise greatly welcomed, have read all the threads regarding this but cant seem to find a answer
lastly have looked on the web for a replacement unit there seems to be lots of part numbers that all seem to fit with vastly varying prices anyone replaced there lock on a 6A chassis 55 plate d3 that could recommend a supplier thanks for any help please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

I got mine from Dan at Duckworths
If you know its going why are you prolonging the agony, just replace it

There is a write up on how to refurb rather than replace
I replaced the rear nearside lock but then after replacing it refurbed the old one for future use
