Looking for off-roading around Warwickshire or further
Hi all,
I've recently moved down from Scotland to Warwickshire and don't know the area very well. I've got my G4 D3 with me and I'm keen to spend some weekends exploring off road. I had plenty of options when I lived in Scotland and there were almost monthly opportunities to go off road, so I'd like to discover what's available down here..
I'm happy to travel a bit so wondered if anybody knows of either some pay & play sites that are worth going to, or some green lanes worth trying anywhere around Warwickshire/Midlands/Oxfordshire/Shropshire/Peterborough etc?
Even better, is anyone around any of these areas that would want to join up for some off roading?

I'm around the Shrewsbury area Chris. Not been off-roading 'locally' yet, but a Sat/Sun here or there would be good. Disco 5 HSE Lux

There are a few pay and play options along the kind of A14 corridor towards Peterborough. Google Protrax, they have 2 sites, Tixover and Yarwell. Also there is Sibbertoft (bit closer to you).MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

Thanks both.
Would potentially be interested in doing Yarwell next Saturday (12th Aug)...
I'm in Rugby and would be interested, I've done most of the Warwickshire lanes over the last 16 years in various vehicles and would be interested in going out again.

I was a member of MROC before I sold the D3 - its a good club, but tend to cater more for the Defenders and not D3/D4's - though I did some RTV's with them and had a lot of fun - and they did take my D3 into account Mark.

Thanks all. I'll look in to see what sort of things the club offers.
Yarwell looks like it might be worth a play for me in the first instance. Will likely head along next Sunday (Vince has confirmed that the correct date is Sunday 13th Aug (not 12th as the website says...).
I can put an event post up to see if anyone else would be interested. It's £25 a car.
@Alfamale - must have been an imposter as I wasn't out in the G4 on Saturday. Still surprised I haven't been 'spotted' by anyone yet though!

I've been meaning to get to Yarwell for a play for ages. If I can persuade the senior management that she wants to come along, I may join you. Based on the Yarwell facebook page, its probably fairly full with highly modified mud plugger toys, but I think there is a fair amount for the more standard cars. There is a thread on hear with a video of a forum member taking a tour round either Tixover or Yarwell.MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff
