SUSPENSION OPERATING VALVES

Hi Guys, On a recent trip to UK I bought all three control valves for my D3. On starting the replacement job back here in SA I found that the pipe entry sockets were different to the existing ones on my 2006 V8. The new sockets are like small white plastic cups. Do I just push pipes into these fittings or am I short of some parts that are required to make these fittings complete and seal??
Any help much appreciated.

hi

they are called voss connectors , if u unscrew them u will see the white plastic bit holds the fitting together , i.e. keeps the olive in place and stops any junk going into the new valve

put the nut onto the pipe then the olive , don't need the white bit

included a pic, u can see the white bit is removed when fitting the plastic pipe

hope that helps

gary

Thanks Gary, feel a little stupid but didn't want to start "fiddling" with the new gear "blind". I serviced the front valve block three years ago and it has lasted quite well. The manual states that they cannot be serviced but are quite straightforward and a good clean out and some O ring grease works wonders. Now done 165 000 Klm so thought the 'old girl' deserved a new set.
Thanks again.

hi

don't worry i also thought the same at first Laughing

replaced the front and reservoir valve on mine, just got the rear one to do

also fitted a new air tank and compressor

did fit pushfit fittings in place of the voss connectors on the valves, air tank and compressor , found them easier than the voss connectors
