I sacked off BG a good few years back and switch pretty much yearly.

I get my yearly usage figure from my supplier along with their cost based on these figures - I believe they have to give you them - and then shop around.

I tend to use GOV.UK to get their list of comparison sites but always deal directly with the supplier I choose. I normally look for fixed rate with NO penalty for jumping ship.

This year I'm with Bristol Energy for dual fuel - reckon on a saving of around 25+% with no changes to my chaotic lifestyle.

If it takes you more than 15 minutes to compare deals you're a slow typist or your broadband is bobbins (so shop around for that as well Laughing ) I see no ships........

It was so cheap, I knew it wouldn't last.
