EPB fault together with parking sensors and cruise control |
|
My 2 month old D3 has developed a fault.
When taking the EPB with the switch in the centre console, it doesn't always release. But when I just drive off, it does release.
There's a message on the screen saying: park brake fault. The iid reader says: U2002-01(A8) switch general electrical failure.
This is an ongoing issue, and the garage told me is was the parking brake shoes (which they replaced).
Looking through the forum, could it be either the EPB switch or the brake light switch?
Many thanks,
Eric

sounds like it is working under all but switch conditions, does point towards the switch in the console Joined the BMWX5 45e group

That does make sense.
I might just order another one, even though it's still under warranty.
It's cheaper to do that then spending driving 2 hours to go to the garage.

I'll have a look at that as well.
It's that an issue with the wiring in a common place?

The EPB motor has now given up (very noisy and not engaging).
At the same time the parking sensors and the cruise control stopped working.
Is this related or pure coincidence?
