8sp Gearbox flush - Northern Aberdeenshire

In case its of use to members North of the granite city, I had my 8sp gearbox 'Terraclean'd' and oil flushed with ZF LG8 at Cameron's Autotech in Cuminestown, Aberdeenshire.

Good service and communications. They'd done a lot of various ZF boxes and put in the research for the fittings to bypass the thermostatic valve with both Terraclean and ZF.

Bearing in mind I've only driven the D4 for less than 1k miles and its my first D4 (it has 100K miles on the clock) the difference in gear change is alot smoother! I had the work done as preventative maintenance. Prev: 2015 D4 HSE Corris Grey

Thanks for the info. How much did it cost?

I don't think mine needs yet it but I like preventitive maintenance, and keeping things smooth!

I can't fault the service, but having done a little forum price comparison now it was a little more than some others at £180 plus the ZF LG8 at £20 a litre and then VAT.

I don't want to type or say the number again. Shocked

The convenience in rural Aberdeenshire is pretty handy though. Prev: 2015 D4 HSE Corris Grey
