Was it free moving/pivoting when you lubed it or diid you just oil/grease it?

When mine did this lubricating the pivot without taking it apart made no difference, when I took it apart and greased it it still only lasted a couple of long trips, I put an Advanced Factors pivot kit on and had no further problems.

I put some wd40 up the tube and moved the lever.

It was a little smoother to move afterwards.

So how would I know if I need the advanced factors kit?

If I found loads of cable ties under there ? Wink

In this day and age it's cheap enough to just get one and fit it, the bush bit jams on the special bolt caused by rust this then pits the bush so water gets in and the process continues until it seizes up.
