Manual, issues with EPB and starting in gear
Hi all,
A few weeks ago I got the dreaded 'Squealing' cat noise and the EPB locked on....I did the emergency unlock, then used the IID tool to clear faults and do the EPB test and since then all has been good (Although I know it's only a matter of time before it goes again )
Anyway, site other issue, is that I'm tending to leave her in 1st while trying to reduce usage of the EPB, but the other day I forgot it was in gear and started it and the Disco jumped forward!
In the past, the Disco has never been able to start or even turn-over if it was in gear, so what's changed, is this related to the potential EPB problem or something else?

I saw a similar question the other day, the answer was (stolen from the other thread (Disco Mikey)) XY sensor. Not knowing it's in gear I guess is the issue. Let us know if you sort it. Manual gearbox info is always useful!Richard
