PCV valve on HPFP Eur-4
the symptom is error during mild acceleration and engine being unresponsive to mild throttle, while it is totally ok if pedal is pressed harder, like 70-80%.
after a long struggle and use of couple of borrowed parts and all of the engineering knowledge, the root cause was isolated.
it is PCV valve on HPFP, the part that actually controls pressure on rail.
whilst this part is available separately for euro-3 engines (pre-2007) as A2C59506225, there is no separate spare part available in catalogues for euro-4 engine (like mine, mid-2008).
anyone can advise on this issue ? maybe a used part reseller will be of help.
here is comparison of 2 HPFP both fitted on disco3, the only difference being eur-3/eur-4 standards (i.e. pre-2007 and 2007+ make)

unfortunately that is the valve that controls pressure directly on HPFP.

your other option is to take the pump out and try to find someone who repairs. look for diesel repairing shops for trucks.
in any case when i've looked for mine it was almost same price as get a new one so i went for the new.
