I have a 2007 LR3 (North American).
I have a coolant low message always.
I topped off my coolant....land rover dealer actually gave me free coolant as I could not find Texaco XLC anywhere.
Topping off the coolant did not solve the problem. I did see a video on the internet on replacing the coolant reservoir, seems manageable but a bit of a pain. Has anyone else had this problem and replaced the reservoir to successfully address it?

Common problem, float sensor becomes poreus and gives low water indication, needs new reservoir or warning can be de-activating in CCF. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

It's an easy fix too.
Took me no more than 30 minutes to replace the coolant tank on my Disco3 & I'm not mechanic by any stretch of the imagination! MY16 D4 Landmark SDV6 (The Ice Maiden)

Yes and no. At least on the V8...
Low coolant can also be an indication of a coolant leak. It would be wise to rule out a coolant leak rather than assume it's the float. Ask me how I know. Took a black light to find it. I assumed the coolant low warning was the float. It was, in fact, a broken thermostat housing, which turns out to be reasonably common.

Finally just got done with this...spilt a little coolant along the way. Message has now gone away. Dropped an old hose clip and a new one into the engine compartment...hopefully they are on the skid pan below....I will remove the small forward one this weekend to see if I can find them. I actually sand blasted the old clips and powder coated them and some fasteners. The electrical plug was difficult to disconnect....there is a wire clip around the harness side of the connector that you have to press in, kind of like a poor man's cam locker...It then took a little wiggling of the connector but it came off and I then shorted out the harness to make sure the fault cleared (which it did). I used a pipe plugs (NPT) to plug both the hoses going to the reservoir, but while I was doing the lower one some coolant leaked out of the reservoir. I also removed the bracket that holds the pump\motor for what I think is the power steering and sand blasted it and powder coated...it was really rusty...which is surprising because every thing else looks good....Moving on to the TPMS error now. Many thanks for all your help and suggestions. JoeMac
