| New policy after minor mods |
|
Hi all.
Notified my original insurers that I changed my rear lights and grill to aftermarket versions. (As many have done)
Didn't think this would cause any problems.
How wrong was I.
They said as these were not on there list they could not continue with insurance.
I only had one month left on the policy so decided to cancel it and go with A plan. Thought should be reasonable being site sponsors
Cost went up from £400 to over £700. Was not expecting that

A-Plan covered my remap for £470 and it includes off-road cover (for an increased excess), so pleased with that.
Haven't most insurers just put their prices up?

Think your right skater. Called the thatcham branch of A-plan today, after realising I should have called them in the first place. They managed to reduce price by another £100 which is better.
