Bonjour! Cherche un garage dans Les Yvelines...
J'ai arrive en France (de Angleterre!) il-y-a 5 mois et j'ai acheté un Discovery 4 Français mais maintenant j'ai un problème avec les freines.
Est-ce que quelqu’un connaitre un vrai specialiste Land Rover situe dans Les Yvelines pret de Saint Germain en Laye?
Je connais le "Stealer" vers Port Marly, mais il ne peut pas m'aider avant fin Juillet......

I can visit and assess and probably fix your brakes, depending on the problem. I will be finishing a job in Orly on Wednesday afternoon. Then I can run up to St Germain, (it's on the way home, no call out charge .
I'm a D3 specialist shady tree bush mechanic. I texted you earlier.

The problem was immediately apparent on removal of the rear brake pads.
New Ferrodo pads had been recently fitted to part worn discs. Very shiny edges of the pads and not much evidence of full face wear. the new pads had been fitted without having had the edge taken off to match the slight wear shoulders on the disk faces. This causes a squeal as nearly all the braking effort is being put on to a tiny contact patch. A swift application of emery cloth on the pad edges and all is well.
