transmission fault

had a "transmission fault - Traction Reduced" warning come up. had it put on an auto logic and its the control unit on the rear diff (code was 'clutch position not learnt'). does anyone know where this component can be sourced and how difficult it is to swap?

TCCM or RDCM? Have you got a manual transmission or auto? Have you got the locking rear differential?

not sure what TCCM or RCDM is (fairly new to land rovers) It has a locking rear diff which has been coded out to stop the warning. its an auto.

TCCM is transfer case control module (Hi/Lo Range controller) and RDCM is Rear Differential Control Module (eDiff). There is a sensor inside each one which is used to control the amount of locking/slip allowed across the differential. If the clutch position hasn't been learnt then it needs to go through a learn routine.

Was this the reason why it had been coded out? It may need some work to fix the faults, but it is worth it.

they coded it out to resolve the warning. i imagine its the rear diff one. i am going to replace the module (they tried to relearn it but it want playing ball) and then get it relearnt at the independent garage locally.

i just wondered where the part might come from and also the ease of the job?

Have you got the exact code? I'll ask my colleagues in Driveline if they can help.
