Hi,
I'm sure this will have been asked before but I can't find it on the searches in relation to the D4.
I need to get 2 replacement key fobs for my 2011 D4. Lancaster in Reading are wanting £175 + VAT per key plus programming (and are also saying it may need a KVM module for £193 + VAT).
I don't have a diagnostic tool but have wanted to get one. Rather than paying £350 + VAT to LR for two keys, I'm considering getting a Hawkeye for £300 and then getting two blank keys from ebay for c£70 each and programming them with the hawkeye and hoping the KVM is ok.
Would this work or am I overly simplifying it?
Thanks for any help.

I picked up an OEM key from the bay for £60 and then programmed it with the IID. Simples.
Did not bother with getting the blank key cut as it is now pretty much redundant (and I can keep the original with the cut key) as my emergency spare.

Wondering why you need the replacement - is it just a replacement shell you need (because yours has peeled its rubber coating like mine)?
If so, about £15 delivered and just swap the inner bits across - 10 min job. MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

Thanks DeRanged Rover, that was my intention so I might go with that.
LaserTam, no, unfortunately it's worse than that! One key may have gone through the washing machine and the remaining key is becoming increasingly temperamental! I have changed the battery and it is still poor!
Thanks all.
