Shocked at dealer parts pricing
I'm about to start replacing the bushes on front lower arms with SuperPro types. At last minute I decided to get a set of new bolts and nuts from local dealer in case old bolts are in bad shape. For those 6 bolts and nuts I was quoted about 220 euros! I realize 4 of those bolts have eccentric lip for adjustment but still they are only bolts and nuts.
Does this sound right to you? Any reference for UK dealer prices? I see prices in eBay being fraction of my quote for whole kit.

Most dealer parts are about 5 times production cost, if not more. It makes me frustrated, working in the industry knowing how much parts cost and seeing how much they're charged out at. I do feel sorry for the customer, and I try my best to make my parts as durable as possible.
On the other side of the coin though, some parts such as consumables should be more reasonably priced and as mentioned Advanced Factors seem to offer a fantastic service.

A bit of perspective if I buy copy LR parts from China and sell on eBay from a lockup garage or spare room at home my overheads are almost none existent compared to the proper business like Advanced Factors so I can under cut their prices. Similarly AF buy better quality copy parts and only have a warehouse and maybe shopfront as overheads, so can undercut a dealer selling genuine parts from a shiny showroom in a prime location whose parts cost will include a proportion of Land Rovers R&D costs.==================================

The OEM prices compared to the LR prices show that LR charge like a wounded Rhino. When one can buy the exact same component without a LR sticker for half the price, someone is taking the mickey. Especially when the non-LR part gets twice the warranty than the LR version!

I did read recently on here where someone had bough the bolt kit and one of the bolts snapped whilst being torqued up, would kind of dent your confidence on the rest of them!

I've been working quite a lot with BMW's and I sometimes use dealer services when obtaining parts. You do get the best price by shopping online directly from Germany but local dealer isn't that far off that you couldn't utilize it sometimes for some urgent part needs. We are talking about like 1.5x increase there and then getting an additional 10% discount due being a BMW club member.
So having a 3x-5x price tag on LR dealer parts seems like from different planet.
It depends a lot on the dealership though. I bought a full size spare for my wife's Disco Sport, retail was £511 from one main dealer, bought from another main dealer on ebay for £200 delivered, Same brand new genuine part.
