PDC Not Working - No Errors or Flashing PDC Light - Fuse?

Hi Guys,

My PDC, both front and rear has stopped working completely.

The light on the PDC switch does not come on going into reverse, or by pressing the switch manually.

There are no tones or errors.

The rear camera ans screen are working fine though.

However interestingly the option to switch on distance sensing overlay for the rear camera is in the menu but does not overlay on the screen when selected.

I suspect the PDC ECU is dead, or has no power, but cant find a fuse relating to it.

Any one have an idea what fuse i might need to check please?

Ive tried all the ones that might also be supplying the PDC, but they all check out ok.

Any advice welcomed.

My car is a 2014 MY HSE Luxury.

Thanks.

Nigel.

PDC = Park Distance Control.

Front and rear parking sensors.

Hope that helps.

Update on this situation, as no one has commented or offered advice.

Plugged in diagnostics which came up,with a lot of fault messages, including Comms lost to PDC control u it.

So Today we took Front and rear off side and near side light units out to isolate the front and rear looms to see if it was a trapped cable fault.

It made no difference at all, when disconnecting the front or rear PDC looms.

We then took a look at the PDC control unit in the rear passenger door frame area.

It looks fine, no marks or corrosion on the connectors, and a quick look inside revealed it had no dry joints or burn marks.

Does anyone know if we can test this unit on its own? Of course will check again that it has a power feed.

Any other advice welcome, but as no one is commenting I guess i am on my own with this issue on a MY14 car.

It sounds as though the system is no longer communicating with the control unit do you know anyone close with the same car so you could possibly swap the unit to see if it corrects it Thumbs Up
