professorpool meets buckster

I had been searching for a reliable (and most importantly) reasonably priced rack solution for quite some time when I came across the Thule solutions, which I did not know even existed.

Among the posts I read was this one:

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic145216.html

So armed with all this information I found a well priced, well located (geographically) Thule rack, with the extension to boot on fleabay and after some brief haggling settled on a price fair to everyone - Only to realise from the comms that the seller was in fact the buckster himself!

So yesterday we met up and swapped hard cash for the rack, had a good natter and the buckster helped me fit it to my car.

The scruffy disco is mine and the very smart and spotless FFRR on the right belongs to Buckster (I'm the one standing on the right!).

The rack does in fact fit well and at 40% of the price (with the extension - new price) of a prospeed rack great value. It feels solid but yet is light enough for me to lift over my head and place it on the bars on my own. I concur with Buckster that it is a good alternative and most importantly, they are fairly readily available.

(Forgive my awful photography)
