2014 mirror strip

Any one got a how to to strip the passenger mirror surround on a 2014 ive just fitted a new glass after a brush with a transit mirror but cant realign it correctly
So think a surround removal and refit now required

Did my black pack mirrors recently so took off both mirror caps.

At around the highest point, roughly marked on the pic there is a small gap on the inner/lower lip. Key is to get a trim tool (not metal or it will mark) and gently prize back giving you a gap.

I had a set of trim tools so left one in there and just worked my way around the inner edge, pushing the mirror cap straight out away from you.

Mine popped out quite easily.

Not too sure your going to see much from the back - I remember a couple of wires but pretty much a sealed unit.
