Oh and on your auto Micra question, if there is no clutch pedal it's an auto from a licence perspective.

Also looking for a small low insurance group automatic for my daughter who is heading for her test shortly, looked at Micra's, for fours and Toyota IQ's so will follow this thread with interest

Have to say Micras really good cars, my mum has run them for years and her idea of servicing is whats that! in fact her current 2008 one I think I last serviced it 3 maybe 4 yrs ago, passes the mot with zero issues.
I ran one for a year dullest car on the planet, but didnt cost a penny for approx the 10/12k I had it for.
Guy up the road from me bought a new 2006 one to run into London daily, to this day i have never seen a car with so much damage, he never lifted the bonnet ever and the oil light was on for months, he got rid for a fiat and treats them the same!

Micra's of that vintage tend to be a little higher insurance grouping than some other cars similar size.
Corsa D - 2006 on tend to be very low on insurance and are a favourite with youngsters. May just fall into the price bracket.
