Main Dealer Prices For Front Disks & Pads Dicso 4 (D4) 2015 |

Hi,
Can somebody please help me decide if I'm being ripped off with this one? I have been quoted £491 for new front disks and pads from Hatfields Liverpool. I book the job in and they ring me to tell me the job is complete. They are now telling me there is VAT to pay onto of that, £590ish.
This seems ridiculous, What are other dealers charging for the front pads and disks?
The rears cost me £460 including vat a few months ago.

Buying front discs and pads and fitting yourself , could be done for half that sticking with LR branded stuff. If you go OEM it would be cheaper still. FYI it's Brembo front discs as standard , and pads are Ferodo ! Rear I assume is the same. If not confident of doing yourself I'm pretty sure an independent would save a whack on labour !
BTW are you sure discs need done ?? Assume mileage is high if only getting 2 yrs wear or........ there is a thread on here where someone s Disco 4 was eating discs and pads at an alarming rate !!

I've got a D3 but I just paid £250 for new front discs and pads at LR. Prices are frozen for a D3 though.

Disco 4 pads are £166 inc vat retail on their own.
But, I have yet to find a better set, and we only recommend geniune.
Same with the discs, it minimises the chances of brake judder using genuine.

Genuine LR front disks & pads are £296 and pads on their own are £125
Might be some discount depending who you are

Great for a D3, but not much use for a D4 Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

100 quid for low dust set from advancedfactors and they work awesome
swap 45 min took me way longer as I painted rusty calipers
disks also available from them and way cheaper to DIY it as it is easy job
