Ive had my 2008 D3 for 3.5 years now and one of the first mods I wanted to do was fitting front parking sensors. I've managed without them fine and the car now has 120000 on it. But I 'm still thinking of fitting front parking sensors, but don't have the wiring loom that goes from the front bumper to the connector near the CJB. I already have factory fitted rear sensors so the rest of the loom and control box is in place. I've acquired all the parts to fit front parking sensors and fog lights and a engine bay loom minus the fuse box. Having had a few PMs with various people it looks like it will be possible to de-pin the connector and wires I need from the loom ive brought and repin them into my exsisting loom.
My problem is I'm not very confident with wiring so I'm looking for a mobile automotive wiring expert in either Glousestershire/Wiltshire area possible Shropshire or Thatcham/Newbury area to fit this part and safely route the loom to the front bumper so it doesn't rub or catch fire and activate the front sensors in the CCF file if it needs doing.
Anyone got any ideas who could help me out and not charge me a fortune. ??
on the subject of the parking sensors ... is there a way to make the beep louder ? whilst I was without aD4, the dealers loaned me a Ford S-Max which handily reduced radio volume when system was beeping at me.
i'm going to guess LR system isn't quite capable of that but a bit more volume would help..

Not too sure but is the volume not adjustable by using the radio volume control while the actual sensors are activating?
i'll give it a go. time I stopped work for the day anyhow
... and sun is out so beer/bbq might just be in order..

sadly ... volume got no louder, but I did find you can disable it. Luckily it re-enables next time you start the car..
