Forum member Wex has sadly passed away.

He's not posted in quite a while, but I had heard that he was ill.

Sadly confirmed that Diarmud Doran, from Wexford in Eire, aka Wex on here, died recently.

I'm sure you'll all join me in raising a glass to a great man. Thumbs Up

Rip Wex. Sad

Good memories of the Irish contingent arriving en mass at w/end events turning the place into a mix of trading post (stuff was a lot cheaper here than there) and party. Then they would pump up an inflatable mattress in the back of the D3 and bed down 2 at a time. Well why take up space for stuff with a tent? They were always fun and added a great input of Irishism to the w/end.

I can't remember how far Wex got on his journey to a commercial pilot's licence but listened for his name whenever flying Ryan Air. Thumbs Up

RIP Wex Big Cry

Had some great times with Durmuid off-roading in Ireland. Never forget the morning they all arrived at my place for full english on route to a 4x4 meet in the South East. I think there were 10 of us in total for breakfast, it was a mountain of bacon, black & white pudding Laughing
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
