Rain sensing wipers are OFF!!

Finally got fed up enough with the auto wipers to switch them off via the IID. Had an awful drive with them on Thursday, they were either on "normal" or "flat out" when it needed one level less, even with setting at lowest. Looks like I now have standard intermittent wipers with variable "gap" control on the stalk rotary dial in thingie. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

And the best thing about the change? It hasn't rained since!! Laughing Laughing

Oooh, that sounds what I need.

For an IID idiot, how do I go about it..?
Thumbs Up
New gearbox & TC, 3 x front wheel bearings, belts changed, new oil pump, new battery, new rear prop, new front prop, new front diff, front arb refurbed, front cv boot kit, egr blank and BAS software patch, full rear suspension / drivelive rebuild, new front arms, LED trailer light fix, split charge.
Never had a 107, 90 or 127, but have had most of the rest!

CFF edit, instrument pack, auto wipers = off from doing it today. Was turning off the Hurdigurdie (Scandinavian) lights (needed for Poland) and thought I'd give it a go. Thumbs Up

Just follow the instructions on the ipad/iPhone screen and let the device do its thing. I find when it's all whirring and clicking and flashing the best thing to do is close my eyes. Laughing Laughing

I don't think so, it's not an "official" mod. Though poss any other device that can edit the CCF can do this.

Found there is one down side to knocking off auto wipers, it knocks off auto lights as well!! Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Hey ho, back to old school and using the decision making process and switching lights on or off myself. Thumbs Up

Since switching them off I've only driven the car in the rain once, setting my own interval using the twiddly dial thing and it worked a treat. Thumbs Up

Remember days of old when the handbook said the wiper twiddly thing adjusted the front wiper auto sensitivity, or something.
