Xs owners
Just after a bit of info on the above model. Currently I run a Disco 3 SE what I would like to know are the cd players fitted in the XS capable of holding 6 cd'd as my current version and has it got the same amp and same number of speakers ? could someone list all standard fitments ie heated screen etc , I know I will miss my memory seat and arm rest but I'm thinking of retro fitting a set of RR sports seats ( has anyone done this ? ) also are the rear seats heated?
I know you that most options could have been chosen at build stage but would like a general guide as to a comparison from my SE to a newer XS

My MY12 XS D4 had leather heated front seats (not rears) manual adjust not electric without armrests, heated screen, 6 CD Harmon carden audio not sure the number of speakers, 6 possibly, cruise control, sat nav.

My 2010 XS has exactly the same as Al's with the addition of a rear reversing camera when I got it (2nd hand) and as far as I know I only have a single CD? It certainly doesn't have a multichanger casette that I've found. I've never played a CD in it though as I no longer own any
I also paid myself to have timed climate and 4x4 info enabled, and tinted glass.
The one biggest thing I miss from my old TD5 is the arm rest on the seat. I didn't think I'd miss it but I really do. Also, because my seats aren't electric, my drivers seat lowers itself everytime I get in and out of the vehicle and my fat a e catches the handle. I've not got round to implementing the high-tech Land Rover TSB fix for it yet.D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

My 2010 XS only has a single disc CD player and heated manual front seats. I added a reverse camera and remote heating myself.

My MY12 XS has Xenon headlights with conering, elec adjustment and heater front seats, full leather seats and dash, privacy glass, heated screen, parking sensors, but only a single CD Player..Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black

I don't have an XS, (mine's the HSE) - but does the XS come with iPod connectivity? My HSE only has a single CD player but I rarely use it as the iPod holds all my tunes.
And +1 for the armrests - never had them before, but really miss them if I drive a car without them now.
Just take care - my HSE was second-hand so had a lot of extra which I would never have bought if speccing the car from new - but now I wouldn't want to be without. It raises the bar for future vehicle purchases.2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

sorry - I stand corrected, its a single CD player in the XS (same as in my SE Tech), but you can load multiple CD's, and I cant remember how many, as I know I uploaded 6 when I swapped from my D3 to the D4 XS. Its not like the D3 where you feed the CD player with 6 discs, in the D4 you feed it one at a time and "transfer" the CD to the car.

i'll have to try that with the CDs ... only used the USB connection so far.
Mine has iPod cable. Never going to use it. can it be mod'ed to connect to a second USB device ?.

Mine is definitely just the single-go one, you can't upload CDs into memory. Isn't that only on later models with the newer satnav? This is mine:

ok ... I started by thinking I was adding info here but I'm now realising I have more questions than answers !
I'll check out the CD player later but ...
a) what's the 4x4 info ? obviously ASDA car-park is most extreme off-road location I've been in so far but if there is something I haven't yet played with I need to know !
b) where do I get to read TSBs ? seat hasn't moved unexpectedly but if it's liable to I need to fix it as SWMBO is bound to find that feature at some point..

4x4 info isn't standard on the XS but can be enabled by those with the suitable tools (such as an IID tool) - check out site sponsors. I got it as a toy but it doesn't really tell you much useful apart form the angle of the wheels, which appear in certain Terrain Response settings anyway. It does also let you know when your diff locks are active. There is a hack on here where you can get it temporarily to appear so have a play and see if you're bothered or not. I'll have to try and find the thread.
The list of TSBs are all in the wiki. Only a few are linked to though. If you google the TSB number you can normally find it somewhere.

confirmed that 2011 CD player is plain single slot, no clever transfer to car option.
wheel direction shows for some terrain response modes but couldn't see any diff-lock info (then again, I didn't move off the drive !).
