[For Sale] Discovery 4 HSE 63,000 miles. Full service inc belts
Discovery 4 HSE approaching 63,000 miles. Fully serviced including timing belts.
Nara Bronze with pristine beige leather interior. First Registered 29th December 2009, 59 plate.
For sale – my Discovery 4 HSE. I am a little bit OCD about my cars, everything has to work and it has to be kept immaculate.
I always have a full set of genuine waterproof seat covers fitted and have a set of summer (carpet) and winter (rubber) mats. All of which are included in the sale.
It has the genuine Land Rover sliding luggage rack fitted (£500) with a rigid boot liner and cargo net.
No tow bar present and no electrics appear to have been fitted (the plug under boot space still has the factory wrap on it).
This car is an absolute credit to me and its former owners with fully documented servicing and receipts including full under body sealing.
Its servicing is complete and up to date – last service completed 21/12/16 at 59,215 miles. Genuine Land Rover parts were used and the timing belt pulleys and additional pin rollers all replaced including the rear fuel pump belt. Air conditioning re-gassed.
OSF and NSF lower suspension arms and a rear drop link replaced on 23/01/17 before having a 4 wheel alignment.
Usual HSE refinements including Bi-Xenon with High beam assist, heated electrically adjustable front and heated rear seats. 7 seats in total.
Auto dimming mirror, folding electric and heated wing mirrors
DAB radio plus Hybrid TV Tuner
Keyless entry and keyless start
TPMS
Factory Privacy glass and laminated water repellent side windows. Full panoramic sunroof(s)
In addition to the huge specification in my ownership I have:
On 28th November 2016 replaced the wheels with Brand new 20” landmark alloys with brand new Pirelli Scorpion tyres. Complete with brand new TPMS valves.
Following the theft of my spare wheel replaced the spare with a 20” Landmark alloy with Pirelli Scorpion tyre, replaced the winch mechanism and protected the spare with an RLD wheel protector
Fitted and activated the remote Fuel Burning Heater module which is supplied with two remotes one for each key.
Fitted and activated a brand new heated soft nappa leather steering wheel complete with working paddle gearshift.
Replaced all the interior bulbs with LED equivalents.
Replaced the reverse lamps with LED bulbs.
Fitted a no holes iPhone dash bracket with direct connection to the audio connectivity module. This can be reverted to the original arm rest position without trace if required.
Replaced the key enclosure on one of the remote keys due to wear and the edge lifting.
Fitted side steps (non-genuine) I will also supply a set of sill covers which are uncut so the steps can be removed without trace.
I have probably done more and will add anything additional as and when I remember it.
This is an exceptional example offered for sale at the price of an ordinary example.
I have a genuine reason for the sale however it is a health matter that I would be more comfortable discussing in person if required.
The vehicle has a Bluetooth IID tool registered to it and this is negotiable into the sale if required.
This is the Discovery 4 you want with up to date servicing including the major items and all the extra things you will need once you spend a bit of time on this forum.
I genuinely had nothing else I wanted to do to the car, unless an armrest fridge had come my way.
I will add some more pictures including the interior very soon.
I would like to achieve £19995 for the car, I would be willing to present it for a test early so a full MOT certificate would be supplied with the car.

I will check through the service history for anything gearbox related but I know it's something that I haven't done.
I'll get some interior pics added just now.

Interior pictures
I took the pictures right now as per the request so there is some dust on the rubber mats as we're in a temporary car park at work today.
All the seat covers are fitted but I took the drivers one off to show how clean the leather is and how well it's been cared for.
Hope the pictures help.

Interior looks great, if there is anything you notice in the service history about the gearbox that would be a big help. I'm just a bit nervous after having a couple rebuilt on previous landys.
Thanks

Gearbox servicing
I cant find anything in the service portfolio to say that the gearbox has had any fluid changes. On that basis I would have to presume that it hasn't been done.
Having said that - the car drives perfectly and gear changes are smooth and consistent.
I did find a Land Rover workshop checksheet that shows the service intervals for the gearbox, transfer box and differential fluid changes.
The auto transmission fluid change is recommended at 144k miles
The transfer box fluid change at 80k miles
The differential fluid change at 80k miles
While i wouldnt say that i would wait so long for the transmission oil change I also wouldn't change it at less than half the recommended service interval either. Albeit I can completely understand why you would if you have had issues previously.

Service portfolio and receipts.
Also within the service portfolio I found receipts to show rear brake disc and pads replaced March 2016.
Plus lots of extra receipts and the MOT certificate history verifying the mileages at each MOT test.

Thank you for all the info, it looks like a perfect vehicle, and seems you are very similar to myself the way you've looked after her, I'm going to put my Disco 3 up for sale and go from there with moving house at the moment funds are tight, Good luck with sale but I can't see you having any problems selling this one.
Thanks
Dave

Wow great car but your timing sucks lol. I am buying a D4 but funds not available until later in the year and have joined to learn all I can before purchase. Your car is exact spec, quality and price that I have in mind for when I make the purchase. Good luck with the sale despite my frustrations Never argue with a stupid person.....they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Can you please confirm how many owners the car has had, and how long you have owned it for?
is there a possibility to retrospectively add the LR Warranty?
thanks!

Very nice but then again i am biased . Looks like a proper bargain for somebody. I paid more for my 59 nara bronze XS last year which now has almost identical mileage to yours (had 59k when i bought it) and i was hoping that mine was still worth almost £20k but i guess not anymore
Good job i am not planning to sell anytime soon
Good luck with your sale, i am sure it won't hang around long

Worth speaking to Warranty Direct. You might find its better and covers more items than the LR warranty
