I have decided to sell my excellent Disco 3 which I have owned since new; purchased as a pre-reg from Marshalls, Melton Mowbray on 4th May 2009.
The only reason for sale is that I want to get a very late Disco4 Landmark whilst there are still some available.

Last annual service & MoT was by Guy Salmon at 27/03/2017 @ 83,965 miles
Current mileage : 86,500 - this will slowly rise until sold
Full Landrover service history - all done by Guy Salmon, Portsmouth. Between each annual service Mark West, West 4x4, has done an oil & filter change.
The oils in the gearbox, transfer box & both differentials were changed in September 2013 at 48k miles.
A replacement oil pump was fitted, and both belts changed by Guy Salmon on 18th May 2015 at 69,930 miles.
The car runs very smoothly and has never let me down; everything works as it should.
Only issues, which I have not addressed are the heated steering wheel has just, today, stopped working & the near side heated seat doesn’t work.
Detailed records since new. Overall fuel consumption, brimmed to brimmed 25.4 mpg, best in last 10k miles 31.2 mpg.
The body /paint is very good for a car of this age no dings or dents, but the inevitable bramble rash. I have not had it valeted, or “tarted up” for sale. as a matter of choice, but a good valet would have it looking nearly like new.
Upholstery & carpets are excellent; the latter have been protected by LR mats from new.
Price £9,800; at this price I will include a set of roof bars & roof box
The car can be inspected at my home between Petersfield & Portsmouth.
Please send me a personal message for my contact details & any additional information.
More photographs will be added soon !

That's a lovely original car, a good purchase for someone. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
DS3 TDV6 HSE- Silver with Alpaca (new one) Gone
D4 HSE Lux - Montalcino Red Gone
Porsche Cayenne V8 Diesel S
Nice D3 that
Often have an internal argument with myself as to why I didn't go for a late 4
See you changed the oil pump did it have the later pump or the weaker one interesting for the 09 owners such as myself
Have you found a suitable 4 yet bud

Having seen this car, I can vouch for it (should the off-forum sale fall through).
A very original late D3 - in a rare colour - that's been impeccably well maintained by Nigel.
I do miss my manual D3.

2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual in Zermatt Silver with Ebony Cloth (143k) Gone, but now patrolling the Asia section of the West Midlands Safari Park!
Just a comment...
Bournville is a cracking colour - you see these only occasionally.....rare & unusual colours are my thing entirely.
I was tempted to swap mine a few years in...I've the original Lugano Teale....also rarish.
Looks a very good buy for some lucky buyer..BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
It looks as if I have a deal - I'll know tomorrow.
I'll be sad to let this one go, someone potentially has a bargain it's a great car. But I have a late, ex JLR management Landmark in my sights, and it will be a 75 birthday present to me from me.

Sad to sell what has been a great & very reliable D3.
Will be posting bits & pieces for sale, and wanted, in the course of the next few days.

Well done Nigel, I can imagine it will be very sad to see her go, but just think of the Landmark you'll be replacing it with Iggy/Ieuan
