Just a thought

As it's p***n down here I've been browsing the forum on potential issues I may encounter iin the future
As we are down Cornwall soon towing the tintent I thought I would search "towing issues "
Actuator rod seems to get some discussion
I don't have any issues at all that I know about and she's just been serviced to keep FSH up
One question I have is did they ever fit an actuator rod that didn't seize up,if not I best get looking and see if mines ok,plenty of threads to show me as I've read a few
She's been ok so far with just a door lock requiring swap out
I like to do as much preventative maintenance as I can
Phil

Towing Issues - I've had ESF light and limp mode twice during 7 towing trips so far. Doesn't put a foot wrong solo. It's a bit scary when it happens. I think I know the cause and plan to get it sorted before our next big trip.

I did read your post in regard to the codes flagged up
You stated that as yours is an 08 it should have the self test , does this check actuator function of am I missed seeing your post
Mine does a system check before start up ,is that the same on all model years

Not sure of the exact date of the actuator wiggle on start up but I think it can still be limited in its movement. I did the thing with the wire to check mine was free to move.

08 models have a modified actuator rod that is fixed differently.

Mine is a 08 model so already has it and confirmed when the engine was rebuilt.
Moved freely even months after being idle due to engine down.
