Losing oomph

Hi all,

Have a slightly unusual problem (or maybe not) with my Disco.

I have the BAS remap on via IID. No faults read or other current issues.

Following the remap there seems to be a set of conditions which will make the car feel as though it has totally run out of steam just over 3000rpm and it really struggles to accelerate, if at all.

There isn't usually any rev bouncing but the closest I can describe it is that if it were a manual, I'd say the clutch is worn and slipping under a heavier load than usual. If I had flappy paddles I would hit them to change down, and I'm a little surprised the auto doesn't do exactly that, it's like it holds on too long.

The conditions as far as I can tell are a slight incline, accelerating hard in a straight line. Turbo comes in where expected and generally the car is fine to drive.

In short, I think the remap has exposed a pending problem with my gearbox/TC?

I have recently fitted a new HPFP and new EGR valves, so the only other thing I can think of would be a knackered turbo but it seems to kick in fine.

I'll also write to Pete directly if I don't get any leads here.

Thanks!

When was the last time the fuel filter was done?

My dads old Mondeo would do similar, wouldn't rev above 3000 and felt down on power.
New fuel filter and it was fine.

What's the miles on the car and has the box ever been serviced?

100k kilometres, the box has never been serviced specifically so could certainly do with a flush I'm thinking.

Fuel filter was done quite recently when troubleshooting the HPFP issues, but that doesn't preclude some dirty fuel or crud in the tank since then.

The reason I didn't think it was filter was that the problem isn't constant...

Thanks!
