Unusual fuel trim problem - TDV6 |
|
Hello all. I know fuel injectors have been discussed to death but I have a slightly different query.
My TDV6 (EU3) has all new Siemens injectors. All the glow plugs work. The car runs and drives well, apart from a bit or white smoke on cold start (believed to be EGR cooler failure but not yet sorted).
When I check the injector values with my IID, I'm getting differing levels on the two banks.
Injectors 1,3,5 are all around 1200
Injectors 2,4,6 are all around 800
I'm getting no relevant fault codes. There's no signs of a head gasket failure (coolant clear, no scum under oil cap or on dipstick).
Clearly something isn't right here. Could this be a problems with a sensor somewhere? O2 or Lambda?

I thought 1,2,3 were all one bank, but could be wrong,
or the IID tool could be wrong.
or it's not a problem specific to one bank!

I thought the injectors were numbered by firing order. Might well be wrong though!
