ok ... after a tour of North Manchester ...
Farnworth, Salford and Prestwich had no "dremel" type tools left and always sell out of DIY stuff very quickly.
Longsight however never sells out of DIY stuff according to the manager.
also picked up a 12v cool box ... 29litres, £40, 3yr guarantee.
and accidentally bought some beer too.  .

Thanks for the heads up Dean. 
We don't have a local Aldi but we do have a Lidl and I've bought a good few tools and bits over the years. Always very good value for money. I'll be popping in tomorrow. Arthur.
Comedy was a horse, Harvey a dog, both sadly gone. Thought I was choosing a password!

2" wide clear tape, outdoor grade by 3M. £2 ... good for headlamp repair so picked that up too. .

There is a cluster of Lidl's around Halifax
Two in Huddersfield
One in Sowerby Bridge
One one the Bradford Road from Hafilax to Bradford pastcstone chaur
One on the Manchester Road into Bradford.
& there's bound to be at least a couple in
Cleck-Hendmonde-Sedge (Cleckheaton, Heckmondwike, Liverssedge) between Hudds, Bradford Halifax.
...not forgetting Batley & Dewsbury
You could do the Grand Tour of West Yorkshire Lidls
& dine @ one of the Mother Hubbards fish & chip emporiums... BREXIT - done properly.
