Pirelli ATR speed rating
So, "new" ATRs are T rated, and "old" ones are H rated.
Practically speaking is there any difference? I mean, I can't get the old thing up to 190km per hour even with a following wind.
And are they worth a premium over Conti LX2 which are the cheapest here by about £150?
Thanks guys!

When I heard this I just phoned my ins co who said no problem. Wouldn't have an issue using them. Saying that I got 2 of the last H marked 18"ers from Italy for much cheapness, making half of a new set sitting in the garage ready to go on.

I can get the H jobs here locally they just cost more than the Continentals. Given the known longevity I might just stump up.
GGATs are driving me insane. Super noisy, pretty lethal on my daily mountain commute if it's wet.
Are the ATRs road biased in reality or true all terrains?

They're superb on-road. Only noticeable difference between them and the road biased Zero's is if you're really pushing hard the Zero's have slightly better steering feel on corners. Otherwise any difference in noise levels and fuel consumption really aren't noticeable.
Getting 50k miles from a set is achievable.
They're great off road, so much so that I got rid of my set of MTR shod rims years ago. Obviously they're not as capable in deeper mud, but don't be fooled by relatively tame looking tread pattern. The sidewalls are super tough as well.
I think there's some sort of Land Rover approval with them and they now have a LR stamp on the sidewall. I've sworn by them for years now.

It will be worth it, as you'll get more miles out of them. Do report back on how you get on with them. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I do not want to muddy the post but ...
I'm in the same process, I have GG and I'm tired of them, so I'm looking for, but the speed rating
change slows me down, since if I break a tire maybe I'm forced to mix different codes (the H here only meet from time to time) that's why I slow down and wonder....
Is there anyone who has had Michelin Latitude Cross and can give me an opinion compared to the Pirelli ATR?
people advise me very well about them, even better than the Pirelli ATR
What do you think about?
thanks!!lost in translation!

The tread pattern on these looks different from mine
Click once on one of the little pics then the pic above and you get larger view of the tread pattern you are expecting to see.

That tread pattern comes up in adverts every now and again but I've never seen them in reality.

Looking at the Pirelli website they do a 275/55/20 111s
Not sure if its available in the UK.
Could be interesting to keep the Mrs and my rims from the curb Last of the D4 HSE...
