How to get a new D5..
Apparently if you work in Hollywood, getting hold of a fleet of new D5's
isn't a problem.
They're shooting some of the new Marvel Avengers film here, and the Hulk and Thor are getting ferried around in D5's 8)

And if you want to know why blockbusters cost so much money to make.....this is some of what they brought for 2 days filming, and that's just the catering and accommodation for the stars and production crew....

They actually had 2 that were identical, same plates etc.
We found out later that one of them had hugely extendable hydraulic suspension fitted.....and they filmed scenes with the back end scraping along the ground,and the front pointing up in the air.....it's obviously to give the impression that the Hulk is in the back when they CGI him in later...
I didn't manage to get a photo of that as it was live filming yesterday, and the Marvel security guys were very twitchy......that actually made a friend of mine delete some photos off his camera....
I managed to get a long range phone one of Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) in his CGI outfit....
He went out his way to come and say hello to the kids after filming, spending a good 10-15 minutes, and he was really good with them....
Chris Hemsworth (Thor) is here just now, so I'm not expecting to see much of my wife all day

Yes it is, they're just here for a couple of days

They were filming for The Transformers in Northumberland and Newcastle a couple of months ago, must be something good up the East Coast for these blockbusters to be made here I take it that Defender has 'make up rust' on it to make it look old and knackered Cheers Ian

Yeah they like the props to be as "realistic" as possible

Parked in the car park in the harbour on Sunday when we where there for a quick walk about.
Wondered why there where two guys who looked like night club doormen guarding the car park now we know.
Youngest thought it was to make sure you paid the car park😀😀

Exactly this. Taking the proverbial and would get a brief lesson in Anglo Saxon if they tried it with me. If it's a public place they can shove it up their backside
regarding photos ... I have a letter from the chief policemen's committee chair stating the "it's absolutely not illegal in a public place" that I invariably forget to put back in camera bag after checking I still have it.

There weren't any threats, they were very polite but insistent.Apparently somebody did tell them just that, and it seems they were "winging it" at the start, and asking people to delete stuff assuming they didn't know the rules etc.
