Just picked our New car - suspension and low range problems

Morning guys

We picked up our first D3, driving it home all was good, everything working as it should. Stopped on the fuel station ( I know I'll be doing that a lot with the disco)
I was stationary with the engine running and noticed the car drop down. I thought wow it knows I'm getting out so its dropped the disco to access height for me to get out. (I didn't think it did that)
Worried by the drop I switched off and back on but nothing changed band the ride height switch didn't work. I got the manual out to check, it says ride height inceases at 6mph, so I drive off nothing raises and the ride is hard.
I stopped the car, jump out and take a look, ride hide looks normal, but it's solid.
Height switch still not working up or down, no flashing lights or messages on the screen.
ATR control and HDC button working, but noticed now that Disc will not engage Low box, again no flashing lights or error messages, as if the Height and Low box switches aren't working.

How do I test the switches ?
I tried to program the 3rd button to see if the height button was working but no chime, I get a chine when programming lights and panic facility.

I'm wondering (hoping) if I've pressed a button in the cabin that has disabled the suspension /low range?

All help appreciated, does anyone know of a good Indy in Staffordshire?
In summary
Height normal (ish)
Ride Hard
Air switch not working
Low range switch not working
ATR Control does not raise the suspension or put Disco into low on mud and ruts setting - it tells me to but won't allow it

Any ideas? Confused
HELP ?

Hi

I had the same problem with raising the switch / lowering switch, and had to replace them but from LR them come as one package i.e. with the plastic surround, I paid £159 +VAT for mine, but now works perfectly. Not sure if that problem relates to yours though ?

Did you buy privately or via a dealer ? If the latter, take it back Thumbs Up

Thanks ar

Did it stop the low range button from working too ?

My Terrain Response selector and HDC work as they should, but not the other two switches

Hi

My low range continued to work, just the raising and lowering switch, like you I had no error messages on the dash. I could drop the car only, but it would raise to normal height when I drove off.

Hope that helps.

Thanks.

I forgot to say it was from a dealer. I've contacted them, they've said "no problem, they will sort out whatever needs doing to put it right"

They have asked me to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes, which I've done but it didn't change anything.

Did you find any water in the area under switches?

Surprised Mrs DT not happy ! She wanted to use it today..

Is there a multi connector under the console for the height switch and if so could it have come adrift? Perhaps the console has been out recently to remove something by the former keeper??

Thanks for the replies guys. (Sorry for the delay replying I've been in hospital with my lad)

It worked on test drive but not when we picked it up.

Jim , what's a "hard reset?"

Took it back to the dealer, really helpful passed it over to the local Indy he uses who replaced the switch pack and that solved the problem.

Galway, I'll remember that one, it's a good safety feature. Thumbs Up

Anyone know what the black and the great connectors under the switches are for ? (On left of photo)

Not sure AM, I think i checked that when it was disconnected Confused

ACM Kit, I don't know.
What use is the connector in the cubby box lid? What can it be used for ?

I do have a bundle of new looking wires under the drivers seat, not sure what they are for, but look like something is missing, (I thought phone) , I'll post a photo when it's back from the Indy Whistle

Disco is home , Mrs DT is happy Thumbs Up

It was the switch pack at fault, new one fitted and working fine.

On the way home it absolutely lashed it down and that presented me with another problem

Do we think this could be sunroof drain channel blocked ?

Oh and here's the photo of the birds nest of wires under the drivers seat

I thought it might be a phone kit, but it's got 2 lots of telemute boxes? And I thought the car came with a phone kit from the factory? (HSE, got photo controls on the steering wheel and connector in the cubby box) Should it work via Bluetooth ?
It's got inline fuses in that small plug so looks like it's missing something , does any one know if it's a parrot kit?

Any ideas ? Confused
