Transfer box oil query

Just ordered some transfer box fluid from a landrover dealer and have received differential saf-xo oil, it is boxed with part number TYK500010 which I understand is part number for transfer box oil but I understood the transfer box oil to be some magical oil and not diff oil. Does any one know if this is the correct oil at £50 for 2 bottles don't want to use the wrong oil and then ruin the transfer box .

I did the diffs with Castrol syntrax 75w 90 as I understood this replaced the saf xo oils

You've got differential oil there - the transfer box oil is

IYK500010


Similar but starts with "I" not a "T". Helpful of LR Rolling Eyes 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Thanks for the reply I will contact them to rectify the matter, worries me that even LR main dealer can't get it right

Get it exchanged.

At that price you want to put the correct stuff in.

It comes in a round bottle and you need 2 bottles for the job (well 1.5)

All sorted thanks they are sending me correct oil and collecting the diff oil, was surprised to see the saf-xo understood it had been replaced by the Castro syntrax
