TomTom not Charging from ciggy socket but led is on help

Ukraine 

Ciggie sockets should be up around 10 - 12A ISTR, each. My one of the above Anker adaptor will happily charge my ipad and iPhone from sq root of naff all in batt, whilst both devices are working their socks off. Just needs the Amps. Thumbs Up

I mainly use one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00OUK...&psc=1 if I need three or more things powered/charging. Thumbs Up

Sorted guys, thanks for the help, basically it was down to a break in the cable just not allowing enough power down it to charge at the same rate as usage ( i have the cable running behind the facia panel and think its got trapped when the facia was pushed back on and then over the last year its gave up eventually..

Still new cable an job sorted thansk again

Be very careful with TomTom equipment - not sure about newer ones, but the older ones would not be guaranteed if charged with anything other than the original charger, which has a built in regulator.

I learned this by plugging one in to a cheap USB 12v adapter and frying it (the TomTom).

Don't go cheap, its not worth it.
