No and it's realy simple, locate the valve on the left hand side of the engine, wipe round underneath to aviod crude falling into the engine, undo two torx screws on the top, pull it off, squeeze the connector to release the pipe, fit new one.

I'm sure I found one when I did mine but can't find one now! However there are a few on cleaning the throttle body and the PCV is pretty close by. I did mine with no trouble so you should be fine. I probably need to do my throttle body again soon so if you'd like me to take photos I'm more than happy to

I have cleaned my throttle body last week and I was surprised with how clean it was.

Next on the list is the PCV, there have people found the cheapest to buy?

Remove engine cover, (remove four bolts and the oil filler cap) PCV Valve is on the left hand side (circled in blue) behind the air intake, the small cable is attached to it, the large cable with the red cross you may/won t have its the wiring to the LPG ECU

Close up and you can see one of the two torx screws, the other is under the big cable, the hole is where the small cable is secured (my fixing was brittle and broke off). Once you have undone the screws it simply pulls out and the pipe is a squeeze connection.

Just ordered mine from Paddocks £33 delivered, will pop it in when it arrives.

What are we thinking on the life, should it be changed every service Question

Thanks Mogwyth

As for life expectancy I think every service is probably too often, my guess (and it's only a guess) would be every 50k or so, however I'd love to hear any other views on it

I just changed mine on recommendation that if it had never been changed then do it as preventitive maintanance but:

Quote:
Symptoms of a bad PCV valve

We see varied symptoms from a bad PCV valve, depending on the way it fails. For instance, a PCV valve that sticks open may cause a check engine light. The diagnostic trouble codes or DTC will normally not mention the PCV valve. Instead, the diagnostic trouble code P0171 and P0174 are common. These codes suggest a lean-condition in the engine. Other engines could set a mass-air-flow meter code or even an oxygen sensor code.

A failed PCV valve may also cause noise. Some will produce a whistle or whine and others can produce a low moaning noise. The easiest way to verify the problem is to temporarily block the vacuum source to the PCV valve and see if the noise changes or goes away.

On some vehicles, a bad PCV valve can cause oil to blow onto the air filter element. An oily or dirty spot, near the PCV inlet hose is a symptom.
