Air suspension fault.
Just purchased a 2005 Discovery 3 with orange air suspension warning light fault on. Previous owner had a new compressor fitted about 4 years since at the main dealers . Also when stood the suspension drops and you can hear it self compensating.
So,,,, I have removed the compressor and fitted a new air filter from XR8, cleaned it up and replaced. Whilst the compressor was removed I had removed the Air Suspension fuses and relay and over 3 days the suspension did not drop? Maybe 10mm on the left hand front.
Now the compressor is back on and the fuses back in place the suspension is back to its old tricks but different. Right hand front and right hand rear drop over 30mm before it tries to compensate. Also the dash warning light comes on after a couple of minutes of running then stays on. The compressor runs for a good 2 minutes from cold start which seems too long.
Does the vehicle need code reading for the suspension fault ?
Is it possible that filter desecant is in the system causing irregularities?
It is possible, that Your Air Tank is gone,
Or the O-rings of the valve blocks are not supergood anymore.
That car is self leveling itself is normal behaviour.
So then, if one corner is "misbehaving" the rest will lower itself to level the again and again.
Lots of threads on that here
When pulling a fuse, you might find out wich component could be the weak point to look for

I am sure that I am not the first but I won't be the last. Throw away the nasty Land Rover original pipe and replace with Norgen air pipe fittings with threads that can be tightened up. The engine is running in the photo with the air tank receiver on the floor, Squirting soapy water on checking for leaks.
