| Dashcam fitting - 12v always live?? |

Hi so bought a Nextbase Dashcam, not hard wired yet.
Just a quick question; is the 12v cig socket permanently live? Seems to be to me but I stand to be corrected. I know on my Volvo it is ignition live

the cig lighter socket switches off after about 10 mins when the engine is off  When you are dead, you do not know you are dead. All of the pain is felt by others. The same thing happens when you are stupid.

you can change the cigar sockets to give permanent 12v have a look here :-

Be careful you don't flatten the battery by leaving stuff connected
If you hard wire it it is worth looking at getting something like this http://www.blackvue.co.uk/index.php/compon...l?Itemid=0
