Locking wheel nut

My locking wheel nut has been damaged and I can get it off when I put the locking wheel nut key on it just slips as the nut is corroded. What would the best way to get the nut off as I need to replace my pads and disks? I now I will have to replace the locking wheel nut and wheel nuts as they have all swollen. Thanks craig.

How badly damaged is the locking wheel nut? I had one on a different car that was only slightly damaged but due to the tightness, I couldn't keep the socket engaged while leaning on the bar. I got round this by parking close to a sturdy wall and using the scissor jack between the wall and the socket, in line with the locking nut. Opened/raised the jack horizontally to apply enough pressure to keep the socket and nut engaged, then was able to apply lots of torque to the bar to loosen it. Of course, if your locking nut is totally worn, this wont work. Take it to a tyre fitters as they have the tools to remove them. I have an almost new set of locking wheel nuts if you are interested.

Tried to heat the nut up and hammer and chisel it off but it is not working and the wheel is shaking.

If you have a dremmel try and cut a slot in the aluminium cap that will take the chisel tip then belt it with a FBH, used bolt remover socket once I'd done this

hope this helps
