D4 seat wiring in a d3

Hi I know this has been asked over and over, but does anyone know what needs to be done to put d4 seats in a d3? The passenger seat is working perfect except for the heated seat?
But I've got nothing on the drivers seat. No movement or heat, I've changed the polarity round, but still nothing. Is there a way to bypass the memory function? Also what needs to be done to get the heat working
Thanks in advance for any help

I am fitting it into a LHD car, how about getting a RHD right switch pack and wire loom for my LHD right seat? Would this make it easier?

lr3

have wondered about that , in bypassing the memory function by getting another loom

would assume u would have to see if it's a 6 or 8 way seat

then getting the according loom , would also need the 6 or 8 way switches

normally the drivers seat is 8 way and passenger is a 6 way

hopefully someone with more experience will be able to clarify that for u, if my buying a loom and switch is an alternative in bypassing the memory box

don't know how expensive it would be though

I would suppose the motors works fine without the memory wires attached. I think the only difference is the back support on the driverseat? Maybe a universal 2-way switch with spring could be used here. Not sure if the support have height adjustment besides in and out?

Think this is all the wiring needed?

And this

Maybe harder to find the parts from a LHD car.

not really sure if i'm honest seeing mine are d3 seats

ref the loom though i think it just needs to be either a 6 or 8 way

wonder if some of the other links or search may be able to verify the reg bits needed for a D4 seat

sorry that's not much help, just don't wish to give u any false info

as a side note , mines got the memory box and bypassed it, have bought an 8 x way loom for the drivers seat, just got to buy the 8 x way switch , but are expensive , so i should then in theory be able to take away the memory box away all together

on my 8 way switch it gives the adjustment

forward and back

back seat , forwards and back

front of seat up and down
back of seat up and down

My passenger seat got front up and down adjustment, meaning 8-way? Then I guess it is on most D4s. Think I will give it a try.

sounds like it is 8 x way

when i looked on my passenger side that's only 6 x way , as the entire seat goes up and down

where on my drivers seat can adjust the height on the front and back, is good as it gives that extra support behind ur knees

plse let us know how u get on as i'm also interested to see if it works with u using another loom Thumbs Up

I struggled fitting LHD seats in a RHD car.

Driver's side (which was originally a passenger's side seat) works fine (without memory).

Passenger's side, I can't get to work at all - except heated seat.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on.

Ordered the parts now, will be 1-2 weeks.

Could anyone give me a straight forward idea of the passenger D4 wiring? Do you use some of the D3 parts for the heated seats?

Will get back with more when the parts received.

Thank you.
