Discovery 3 HSE --> Discovery 4 Facelift Headlight Help Need

Hi

I'm currently doing a Discovery 3 2009 to Discovery 4 2014 facelift conversion and was wondering if anyone has done the same with the top spec headlights?

My currenty headlights are top spec, Bi-Xenon, Active Bending Lights/Corner Lights and I'm looking to fit the top spec Discovery 4 2014 facelift lights that have the same functions..

I keep reading that I will lose the ABL function, is this correct?

Any help would be appreciated! thank you in advance!

You will loose active cornering unless you swap out other components, the two systems across the age gap are not compatible

Hi Beanie

Thank you for your help

Do you know which components would need to be swapped out? Has anyone actually got them working as yet? There's a good auto electrician near me but would like to give him a better idea on where to start

You can get the cornering lights to work but I think it's near impossible to get the active bending lights done. The AFS (active bending) lights use a dedicated AFS ECU to control them in both D3 and D4; problem is the D4 lights need the D4 ECU and there is no way a D4 AFS ECU is going to work in a D3 as the canbus architecture is different between D3 and D4.
