My dealer says they can do the wheel alignment just fine with the equipment they have.
I've read a bit on here about having to go somewhere where they have Hunter alignment equipment.
The dealer doesn't have Hunter equipment but assures me they will do it properly. Is this correct ? Velar MY18 D180 S Narvik

If they use a 4 wheel alignment system then fine but Discos are not 'old school' and must be dealt with as LR specs demand.

So why the insistence on the 'Hunter' alignment ?
I got the impression from the forum this was the only way to do it properly. Velar MY18 D180 S Narvik

Because it is the best, lasers are clamped onto the wheels and give a digital read out of before and after, it isn't just alignment but full geometry including centralising the steering wheel. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

There are many makes of computerised four wheel alignment equipment that fit the bill, it hasn't got to be hunter. But it does have to be a system capable of front castor, camber and toe and rear camber and toe.
Most systems display all the readings with things like offset and other useful info, which also allows the steering to be set straight.
